Top Pop Father's Day Gift

I helped my boys put together this little gift for Dad for Father's Day.  I found the popcorn bucket at Dollar Tree.  Inside, we put a box of Pop Tarts, a bag of popcorn, some Pop Rocks candy, a giant lollypop, and some Coke Zero, his favorite "pop."  The tag says, "You're the top pop!"  Afterwards, I thought I really should have put in a picture of Coach Pop from the San Antonio Spurs (our favorite team).  I just added some tissue paper and ribbon.  It turned out really cute.

Fun Summer Cards

It's summer time!!!  As a teacher that means I have time to myself, time to craft, time to update my blog, time to have fun. Here are a few of my latest creations. My boys are both big into scouting.  My oldest was Senior Patrol Leader this past year.  My youngest will be the new Troop Webmaster.  The "stamped" saying on this was actually printed on my computer and then punched out. Bright and cheery, just squares and rectangles with different papers. Who wouldn't want to go surfing for their birthday? The middle line is actually a ribbon, the other 2 are paper.

Mini-Fridge Art

Marshall will be working at a Boy Scout camp all summer.  He has requested a mini-fridge filled with a case of Dr. Pepper.  Since he is working outside and sleeping in a tent, all summer, in Texas, in Bastrop, under the pine trees, where there's no breeze, and the temperature can easily rise into the 110's.  I was happy to oblige. Our neighbors gave us a beer fridge a few years ago that we've never used. It's cute and nice but it has a beer logo on it.  This will never do for a teenage boy to take to a Boy Scout camp!  Here's the new front: Argh!  The logo is sandwiched in between the windows.  So, here's the inside.  I cut the soda using my cricut and the Nifty Fifties cartridge.  I had to free-hand cut both backgrounds.  The "Jett's Drinks" was done using Sure Cuts A Lot.  I used sheets of duct tape except for the black; it's an old roll of black marble contact paper.  I kinda went about this backwards....
